Approximately 80% of Utah's population lives in the Salt Lake City area. This leaves vast areas of the state unpopulated making it the 6th most urbanized state. It is one of the most religiously homogeneous states with about 50% of the population belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Mormon Church. It is a great geographical tourism site noted for its natural diversity ranging from arid deserts with sand dunes to thriving pine forests in mountain valleys. If you choose to retire to Utah and you become a Mormon, find an inexpensive retirement community. Mormons live longer than any other religion so you may be there awhile.
